ABOUT THE OWNER
Hi, I’m Claudia!
I grew up right here in Belfast, Maine, and my love for this beautiful community is only matched by my lifelong passion for dogs. After graduating from Animal Behavior College (ABC) as a certified dog groomer, I recognized a need for a more specialized style of care. I wanted to bring a fresh, holistic approach to the Midcoast area with Coastal Canine.
I founded my business to offer a true wellness sanctuary for our local pups—focusing on therapeutic skincare, gentle handling, and physical joint comfort. My inspiration and the official mascot of our logo is my own lab mix, Rue! When you visit, you'll often find Rue hanging out in our daycare room. She absolutely loves welcoming new clients and is always eager to make new furry friends.
For me, dog grooming isn't just about a beautiful haircut; it’s about nurturing your dog’s mind, body, and spirit so they leave healthy, happy, and completely relaxed. I am so proud to serve the families of the Midcoast, and Rue and I can’t wait to welcome your pup into our care!
